Hi, I’m Jo.
I earned my Bachelor’s in Art Education from The Ohio State University in 2020, and since then, my career has been a creative adventure in its own right. I’ve explored the worlds of childcare, IT support, website development, sales, and now, higher education admissions — each role teaching me something new about how people learn, connect, and create.
These days, I “sunlight” as the Campus Experience Coordinator at Columbus College of Art & Design, where I get to work alongside incredible artists and makers every day. Being surrounded by creativity keeps me inspired — and fuels my own studio practice.
Through Jo Handmade, I bring that spirit of curiosity and craftsmanship into everything I make, whether it’s ceramics, paintings, hats, or unexpected commissions. My goal is to create work that feels high-quality yet cozy, beautiful yet approachable, and always made with integrity and joy.
